Eden Teva Market Online has a new organic vegetable promotion going on. This one is not quite as awesome as their 5 shekel sale - it's 5.90/kg, so still pretty good! I believe the selection on sale varies slightly by region.
Sale ends November 30, 2012
When I checked what's included in the 5.90 sale, it showed me the following:
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
White Cabbage
Hot peppers (by the package, not per kilo)
Eggplant
Onions
Potatoes
Sweet potatoes
Butternut Squash
Beets
Red Peppers
Cherry Tomatoes
Carrots
Don't forget to check the list of "clean" and "dirty" produce to help you decide what's worth buying organic!
They deliver to many areas - delivery area seems to be expanding all the time. And if you don't see your town on the list, try calling or creating an account, they deliver to my town even though it is not on the list... maybe yours too!
Min. order for delivery is 150 shekel, and there is a delivery fee of 29 shekels, I believe.

What is the quality like from the online delivery? The fruit and veg at my local Eden Teva are usually terrible quality (the turnover isn't high enough, so stuff sits there a long time and they don't throw it out), so I don't buy there. I wonder whether the online orders are fulfilled from a central warehouse, or from the local stores?
ReplyDeleteI think it's fulfilled at local stores. I know the Haifa area store calls me about my orders. I have had a very good experience, so far, ordering from them. The produce they chose for me was excellent. I guess you could try to find someone in your area who has ordered online, and find out how it went.
ReplyDeleteOr take a chance - if you are not satisfied, call them and demand they make it right...
thanks!
