The Israeli Electric Company announced that, to encourage people to reduce their energy consumption, there will be an incentive program from June -September
It goes like this:
If you (private households) reduce your energy consumption compared to the same period last year, you will be eligible for a discount on your electric bill.
15-20% reduction will earn you a 10% discount.
20-30% reduction will earn you a 20% discount.
If you reduce your consumption by more than 30%, you will not get a discount at all, because they will assume you were not home!
Discounts will be distributed AFTER the program ends - starting in December.
All the details and the sign-up form are available at the Electric Company website. Hurry! You must sign up to participate, and registration ends 31/05/2012.
